On Thursday, June 26, Real Live will present a show at KOBE boasting a pretty strong lineup. Cities Aviv's experimental ambient project African-American Sound Recordings is behind one of our favorite releases of this past winter, Be Somewhere Twice. The collaborative project X&Yde brings together two of the most compelling voices in the local experimental pop scene: Xenia Xamanek and Ydegirl. The lineup is rounded out by the duo Thicket. Tickets cost 80 kr and will only be sold at the door.
If we could actually "be somewhere twice," we would also be at Varm luft for et frit Palæstina over at Christianshavns Beboerhus. That same Thursday, the 26th, starting at 6 pm, Tettix Hexer is hosting an evening with an open stage for air guitar, a workshop to build your own air guitar, and air concerts and DJ sets. All proceeds from ticket sales and additional donations will go directly toward the fight for a free Palestine.
The day after, on Friday, June 27, Anyines label is celebrating the release of Minais B's new album And i know i can feel bad when i get in a bad mood with performances by Minais B, Dannebrog, Lavapao, and a surprise act. There is another intriguing event taking place at KoncertKirken on Monday, June 30: the “NemID Memorial Concert on the Occasion of Memorial Day,” which marks two years since NemID was replaced by MitID. Since 2018, artist Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard has worked with the NemID key card, and on this occasion, he will perform two NemID key cards on the church organ. If you have an old NemID card, feel free to bring it to the concert. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.
